What Color Do YOU Bleed? is a FOX 50 top-priority, cause-marketing initiative that recognizes the highly competitive nature of collegiate fans in our area as a way to have fun and, at the same time, support the local work of one the nation’s most revered service organizations. The campaign revolves around the following local North Carolina universities: Duke University, North Carolina Central University, North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Support your Favorite Team and the American Red Cross
The main element of the campaign is t-shirts, unique to each university, that ask the question, “What Color Do YOU Bleed?” and allow fans to show their school spirit while supporting a worthwhile cause. These t-shirts are available for purchase at www.WhatColorDoYOUBleed.com and at the Triangle Area Chapter Headquarters and various American Red Cross events in the area.

Who’s Keeping Score? WE ARE!
A scoreboard on the website will keep a tally of the number of t-shirts bought by the fans of the four schools. At the end of the contest, in March 2009, the school whose fans have bought the most t-shirts will be declared the winner. Competition will fuel the initiative but the real message will be that, by working together, we can all make a difference in our local community. The main objective is to raise donations and awareness for the American Red Cross, while testing the mettle of each school’s fan base.
